I have found a good/low cost Unix Audit & Security course, and am eager to find others who are interested in attending.
I would like to arrange this workshop if there is enough interest in the Tampa Bay area. We would need approx. 15-20 persons to cover costs. Most UNIX courses are 3-4-5 days in length and cost from $2,500 -3,000, plus travel and hotel expenses. We have an opportunity to get a good UNIX Security & Audit workshop, locally, at 1/10th the cost! The course is - Unix Security & Audit One-day workshop - to be offered in Tampa in late spring/early summer, for approx. $250-$300 per person.
Here is an abstract of the seminar:
This seminar will provide a detailed discussion of the audit and security issues related to the use of the Unix Operating Systems and TCP/IP services that are hosted on these systems. Differences in major Unix variants will be addressed including Solaris, AIX and HP-UX. A live Unix operating system environment will be used to demonstrate key security features and audit tests. Participants will be provided with an audit checklist and sample audit scripts.
If you are interested in attending this Unix course, please send me an e-mail : Abatec@Hillsclerk.com and let me know. You may forward this message to any one you think may also be interested in this one day seminar. If I receive enough responses of interest, I will proceed to schedule this workshop.
