October 2005
President's Message
September 28, 2005
Hi everyone!
Your Chapter needs your support and we have a great seminar package to
make it a win-win for everyone.
I am extremely pleased to present the details of our October
18th seminar at the Renaissance at International Plaza. The
Corporate Governance seminar will be exclusively sponsored by
Protiviti and include a panel discussion at the end of the day
that promises to present a view of today’s governance
environment from several valuable perspectives. Click
here for up-to-date details. The
different perspectives will include representatives from the
Securities Exchange Commission, Internal Audit service
providers, management consultants, audit committee members and
the academic point of view.
The remaining three seminars are very close to finalization.
Please see the related links for those details. Jefferson Wells
and PriceWaterhouse Coopers will be also be exclusive
sponsors of two of those upcoming seminars.
These sponsorships enable us to afford to bring in national
and regional level speakers that promise to deliver the highest
quality seminars possible at the IIA Chapter level.
Now we need you! Please make your seminar package
reservations now. Just click on here
for seminar pricing information. Also please encourage other
members of your organization to sign up. The total package
purchase is, by far, the most efficient method to secure your
continuing professional education at the best price. At the same
time you are obviously supporting your Chapter that has clearly
taken an aggressive position to have the best seminar series
ever during the 2005-2006 year.
Soon you will also be seeing details of our 1+ hour monthly
meetings to allow you new ways to gain CPE and network with your
fellow professionals.
In just a couple of weeks we already have over 60 seminar
packages signed up which reflects the strong interest in the
lineup assembled for the Chapter. My sincere thanks to those
individuals and organizations as well as PWC, Jefferson Wells
and Protiviti for committing to exclusive sponsorships of 3
seminars. We should be announcing a 4th sponsor shortly for the
event. Please don’t be left out. I look forward to seeing you
shortly.
I look forward to seeing you shortly.
